EP 19 \ The Illusion of Control - Putting Faith In God KNOWING There is NOTHING You Can ACTUALLY Do

The time of pregnancy can bring on more fear for mamas than most any other time.  All the "what ifs" flood in and if you're not careful, you'll drown in them.  In every other area, we women tend to just get about the business of getting it done because if we don't, it won't get done.  But this is one area that thinking we can "make" something happen is an illusion.  Today we're going to talk about how we can break from this need to make it happen and draw nearer to God.  He made us, He made our babies, He knows what we need better than we know ourselves, so we're going to figure out how to place real faith in that, not just lip service.  There is nothing we can do to add so much as one single cell to our baby's body, so why do we think it's up to us?  And why does the maternity system think it is up to them?  It is up to God and God alone -- and He is well able to handle that responsibility beyond all our comprehension.  We would not be able to form a single baby together that lived and breathed -- and yet He is forming EVERY baby simultaneously who is in utero now, and He has formed all those who have come before.  We must let go of the illusion of control and put our faith in God.
